Under the Bridge

(sparkle embellished over sized sweater-thrifted,blue w/ gold buckle over the shoulder bag-thrifted, jewelry- grandma and san pedro)
Super sad that I missed Robert Plant's performance at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival. If I had seen him I would have probably gone into a deep state of euphoria. Sigh...well here are some super random pictures I took with my thrifted over sized sweater. Its kind of creepy how obsessed I am with this sweater. Now that Halloween is just around the corner I am seriously going to try to incorporate this sweater into my Halloween costume. Maybe a tacky old lady who frequents the casino is in the works. But before I start planning my costume, I should get ready for my next adventure- Fort Miley Ropes Course. I hope the challenge does not kick my butt. I promise I will take pictures...xoxo

sugarush

moved out/watched Rin Tin Tiger and The Ripsies perform at sfsu/ view of lake merced from our apartment/ coffee time with Rey/ random late night laughter with Jess AND Lynn/ midnight trips to the library/ asian soups for dinner/lying on our apartments floor and listening to classic rock for hours and hours/ rather exhausting first few couple of weeks . Lots of new adventures ahead of us... Snow camping ...NO WAY! I hope Jack can give me some pointers for the snow!

CINE

My final day out in the country. Tomorrow I move back to SF. Last minute packing is not too good especially with classes starting tomorrow. Tomorrow will be one hectic day for sure. Leaving off with a couple of my edits. Very classic cinema-esque I must say...

the grit will take you

Needed to take a breather and sift through pictures to remind me that there is a life outside of school. Microeconomics and summer are two entities I would have never even deemed to mix together. After four grueling weeks of cramming my brain with supply and demand curves,  a markets equilibrium , and competitive markets I have realized that I only have ONE week left. Luckily, my closest friends: a double shot espresso and my latest mystery novel, have stayed with me during those long 3 hour waits and long train rides home . I honestly do not know what I would do without those two!

Smokey

Seriously obsessed with William Eggleston and Stephen Shores style of photography. Their photos have this aesthetic view of deserted towns- and that is much appreciated since I have always had this desire to live out in a small town located in the middle of nowhere, where the only things you see are run down gas stations, small diners filled with locals chatting about this and that ,and a lot of dirt.

Bolo round two

Bright tropical colors, artisan art in Massaya, pio quinto, pasteles de tres leche, sketchy herbal outdoor eatery plastered with Hindu posters, six people wedged into a tiny moto taxi going from Niquinohomo to Catarina and back for a pizza, boat rides, men and boys of all ages ogling us and blurting out inappropriate phrases, feathers, hammocks, and steep forests...

Estan Bolo en Nicaragua

Foods galore, warm lake water, sweet Nicaraguan pastries, folklore performances at the Ruben Dario Teatro, bartering with an old artisan lady and snagging authentic Nicaraguan art pieces, renewing our love for Raspados Loli, partying with friends and family until the sun rose at Las Conchas Negras, wandering through the long/dark pathways in Montelimar at two in the morning to get to the beach only to find out everything was pitch black and pretty scary, sipping on coconut juice while dripping in sweat, tanning or should I say baking under the immense sun rays, drinking way too many shots of cute fruity adult drinks, divine sushi and trying hot Saki for the first time at Sushitto, french crepes at La Margarita,  rekindling our relationship with my much adored cousins, meeting new people, having conversations with a random Canadian dude, loads of cajetas and rosquillas, becoming a god mother, overloading on authentic Nicaraguan bags/ shoes/ jewelry/art and blankets from Massaya, and doing things that must not be heard of by anyone but those who were a part of it are just a few of the many fun/crazy/ fulfilling events that took place in this whirlwind adventure...Nicaragua 2011.

Now back to the real world...
Time to prepare for my microeconomics class that is just around the corner
